The Warwick Education Foundation (WEF) is fortunate to have a number of local businesses participate in the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC). Eligible businesses are those authorized to do business in Pennsylvania and are subject to one or more of the following taxes:
- Corporate Net Income Tax
- Capital Stock Franchise Tax
- Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax
- Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax
- Insurance Premiums Tax
- Mutual Thrift Institution Tax
- Personal Income Tax of Corporation Shareholders or Partnership Partners
An eligible business can be approved for a tax credit equal to 75% of its contribution(s) to an approved nonprofit Educational Improvement Organization (EIO) such as the WEF to a maximum of $400,000 per taxable year. The tax credit may be increased to 90% of the contribution(s) made, to a maximum of $400,000 per taxable year, if the business agrees to provide the same amount of contribution(s) for two consecutive years.
To date, over $1.1 million has been contributed to the WEF from EITC contributions. The EITC contributions will be used to fund approved innovative educational programs that provide technology, reading programs, and more for Warwick students.
We recognize and thank the following businesses for their donations to the WEF by participating in the PA EITC Program for the current fiscal year ending June 30, 2018:
