Who We Are
Our Story
All the top school districts in Lancaster County have active parental involvement—and committed education foundations. Ours was founded in 1997 when Dr. John Bonfield, then superintendent of Warwick School District, brought community leaders together to support local education.
In the two decades since, we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished. But we’re dedicated to making Warwick shine even brighter in the days ahead—because our students are. When community leaders step up and serve, we get results. When the whole Warwick community pulls together, nothing is beyond us.
OUR MISSION
To promote, enhance and endow enriched educational, teaching and learning opportunities within the Warwick School District community.

We Believe
We believe enriching our children’s education is the smartest investment we can make to strengthen our community. Since 1997, the Warwick Education Foundation has invested over $3.2 million in highly-focused educational programs and resources at Warwick School District.
By improving K-12 education through innovative learning experiences, we’re helping Warwick students make the
most of their individual abilities and equip themselves for success in the future. Educated young people make better citizens and more productive employees for local businesses. And top-ranking schools create a more attractive place to live and work.
Investing in our kids is a great investment in the future of our community.

Barbara Mobley
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
As Executive Director, Barb rallies the Foundation volunteers and the community to provide tremendous learning opportunities for Warwick kids. She’s seen kids care for trout in the classroom, meet Holocaust survivors, program robots, and use state of the art science equipment.
The Warwick Education Foundation is a way for me to make positive change in the world.
One of her favorite stories is about a young second grader learning to read using an iPad provided by the Foundation. When asked how he felt about the new technology, he replied, “I’m a genius!”
To Barb, that says it all. “How wonderful it would be for every child from kindergarten to twelfth grade to feel like a genius – to have greater self-confidence, skills, and opportunity as a result of Foundation-funded programs. That’s exciting, enriching, and that’s what makes my heart pound faster!”
Barbara Mobley has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph (Canada) and a Master of Science degree from Virginia Tech. She and her husband, Ken, have two children – Kate, Warwick Class of 2014, and Will, Warwick Class of 2017.
