At the Warwick Education Foundation, we’re proud to be backed by community leaders who share our mission of enriching education for every Warwick student. This month, we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of our incredible sponsors, CNS Companies, and a passionate board member, Melissa Irwin.

Melissa and her husband, John, are the driving force behind CNS Companies—a holding company that oversees several thriving businesses, including Compliance Navigation Specialists, CNS Insurance, CNS Driver Training Center, CNS Occupational Medicine, and CNS Licensing Center. Their commitment to excellence is evident in every branch of their organization—and it’s just as clear in their support of the Ed Foundation.

As parents to four children, ages 9 to 15, all attending Warwick schools, Melissa and John have a personal connection to the classrooms and teachers we’re committed to.

“I first learned about the Warwick Education Foundation while attending a school event, and I was really inspired by how they collaborate with teachers,” shared Melissa.

That inspiration quickly turned into action. From volunteering on our board to championing local initiatives, Melissa has become vital to our Foundation’s success. She’s especially passionate about our Teacher Grants Program, which (in part) provides innovative resources directly into Warwick classrooms. Melissa attributes early exposure to why her teenager studies welding at the Career and Technology Center, stating, “These programs make a real difference.”

As a business owner, Melissa also sees the long-term impact of quality education.

Melissa shared, “We’re constantly impressed by the Warwick graduates who walk through our doors at CNS. They come prepared, confident, and capable. Supporting the community is important to us, and there’s no better way to give back than by investing in children.”
