Investing in the Future: Warwick Education Foundation Awards Over $220K in Grants

We have exciting news, Warwick! The 2025–2026 school year is off to a fantastic start as 30 new grants are set to launch throughout the Warwick School District.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, the Warwick Education Foundation is proud to invest over $220,000 in innovative programs, hands-on learning, and real-world experiences for students across every grade level.

Each grant promises exceptional educational opportunities, further enhancing the school district’s offerings. These projects fall into three core categories:

  • Innovative Education Grants – Supporting teachers who bring bold, creative instructional ideas to life.

  • Expert-in-Residence Grants – Enriching curriculum through programs led by visiting professionals and specialists.

  • Technology Upgrades – Providing essential tools and resources that enhance the district’s technological capabilities.

It also marks the first installment of our annual grant cycle, with additional grants to be awarded in December.

Here are just a few highlights from this year’s exciting grant lineup:

Urban Design & Future City – Warwick High School
Four high-performance laptops will power a new Honors Urban Design course and national Future City Competition, where students explore engineering, sustainability, and teamwork through virtual city-building.

Digital Microscopes for STEM – All Warwick Elementary Schools
Sixty digital microscopes—15 per elementary school—will bring biology lessons to life on screen for K–6 students, fostering critical thinking and hands-on scientific inquiry.

VEXIQ Competition Robots – Warwick Middle School

Six advanced robotics kits will challenge eighth-grade students in Warwick’s engineering program, offering hands-on experience in coding, mechanical systems, and problem-solving.

Fundations Readers – All Warwick Elementary Schools
Kindergarten students will receive new decodable books aligned with phonics instruction, giving early readers more meaningful opportunities to practice essential literacy skills.

Test Kiln for Ceramics – Warwick High School
A new test kiln will allow high school ceramics students to explore glaze chemistry, promoting deeper learning through creativity, experimentation, and scientific feedback.

Mobile Ag Lab – All Elementary Schools
A 40-foot traveling STEM classroom will visit all four elementary schools, offering over 30 hands-on science experiments focused on pollination, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our donors whose generosity brings creativity, inspiration, and opportunity into Warwick classrooms every day.” – Barb Mobley, Executive Director, Warwick Education Foundation

The Warwick community’s commitment to education is clear. Because of you, we’ve awarded over $3.8 million across more than 400 grants since 1997. Thank you for believing in Warwick students.
